Hi Everyone:
I've come back to the mac world. I've been away ever since my apple G3 was stolen. Now, I bought an apple I3 IMac 27". Hummm, I still miss my G3. Anyways, let's get to the problem.
In these threads, everyone is having problems with their IMac's not sleeping in Windows 7. Well not me. For me, my IMac is not sleeping in OS X [10.6.7]. I thought there was a hardware issue. Just to make sure it was not, I erased the hard drive and reinstalled the OS. Then, it was fine for awhile until I started installing software. The last thing I installed was skype in OS. And now it does not go to sleep in OS. Why doesn't my IMac fall asleep on its own in OS X? Could it be boot camp? Or, could it be skype? And yes, I reset the PRAM and followed the directions on the apple web-site and I even called apple care but, to no avail. I should have bought a Windows machine!
Just kidding....
Can someone help me please? If it's a skype issue then, I understand. But, why on earth would skype prevent my IMac from sleeping even when it is closed. It just doesn't make any sense for the programmers to have skype conflict with OSX 10.6.7; they would have resolved these types of conflicts by now.

This may have been covered before but does anybody have any cleaning tips for the Macbook Air (Latest Version) i.e. The screen, the keyboard, touchpad and outer unibody casing, I'm just a little hesitant to use any old cleaning products.

Thanks I did actually fit the fan in the wrong direction.
Anyway it seems my problems go deeper as the log give me this message: "PMU FORCED SHUTDOWN, CAUSE = -122". I've been Googling and it seems it may be caused by a combination of pushing the power-supply too hard while having an uneven supply of power from the mains.
I'll try to get a cheap PMU as I've found suggestions this might help stuff. At the momen I've just disconected as many USB-perhipals as possible and this seems to have improved my up-times so far...

BBB ratings are no longer very reliable. You can get rid of a bad rating by buying advertising from BBB. I never trust a BBB rating anymore.

I think there was a Windows 7 commercial about doing something like this, so I was hoping I could do it as well.

I have the A Jays Four and am not impressed. Muddy sound. Suggest taking a peek at head-fi.org forums. Those boys will set you straight. I suspect they would side with the UE models.

okay, i'm a dork for answering my own questions. but hey, maybe it can help someone else.
to access your Documents folder using http:
1. forget the Documents linking thing
2. but do everything else above
3. in /etc/httpd/users/<username>.conf, make it like this (substitute your username, obviously):
Alias /~zim/ "/Users/zim/Documents"
<Directory "/Users/zim/Documents/">

Quick update. I've made some more progress. I thought I had not been able to get the phone into DFU mode. I tried it a few more times (the steps of how to get it into DFU mode) and finally its restoring. My phone is staying on with the Plug into iTunes screen. will update once it is done restoring and installing the firmware.
edit: blevins just to be safe I took the sim out and made sure it was seated properly. thank you for the reply
edit2: it says the iPhone "iPhone" could not be restored. An unkown error occurred (1604)
If it's in DFU mode, there should be nothing on the screen. It's in recovery mode, not DFU. 1604 is a common problem when restoring in non-DFU mode.
