My I-140 is approved.
But as per the August visa bulletin all the country visa numbers are U right. The August 17th is just an extension for the July visa bulletin rollback right?

On the same lines, I have a question...My H1B is expiring on Apr 22 (some how with previous approvals and transfers I didn't get a 3 + 3) and Apr 22 will mark 5 years + 1 month of my H1B stay in the US. I have an approved 140 and my AOS is pending. One attorney has convinced me of a 3 yr extension and though she's expensive, I decided to go with her services as two other attorneys didn't guarantee me a 3 yr extn as I'm still into my 6 year now and have not completed 6 full yrs on H1B. Qn is, will I get a 3 yr extension (based on my approved 140) or a 11 months extension now? My PD is Feb 2006.

yes you will get 3 years extension. make sure the application requests 3 years (& your LCA covers 3 years)

The answer to ur fulltime on H1 is NO...even a leave of absense wont help..as you are not a citizen..and every non citizen has to be on F1 if in FT program.....
Will you still get paid when u are a full time student..if no..then ur employment visa is invalid without paystubs...dont u agreee..;-)
if you want to be on H1..u are better off pursuing a PT program!..if ur GC comes thru..switch to FT...

His company was nice enough to keep him on the payroll but gave him 2 yrs of leave of absence. He is now back working for the same company. The only down side to his approach was that he ended up losing 2 yrs of his H-1 but his goal was to come back and work for the same company, so he didn't care.

Thats true but the thread starter indicated he had non-traffic citation. I don't know what it is...but it will be good to know examples of non-traffic citations.

I believe MS + 2 is good enough if your company supports it and your lawyer is not too conservative in filing (both are important)... I heard the perm is more inclined to reject EB2 than EB3 though. the lawyer needs to therefore prepare a good case.

A few IV(I+We)'ans from several state chapters across the US have been working really hard to gather support for our bills to recapture EB visa numbers, eliminate per country caps and exempt STEM graduates from GC Quota. We have started a funding drive of 50,000$ to support lobbying efforts of these bills 25 days ago. So far we have raised 16256$ with the help of 167 members. Hello - I just recd. the TRANSFER NOTICE for me & my wife's 485 case stating that the case has been transferred to USCIS-NBC, PO Box 648005, Lee's Summit, MO 64064. We had filed for AOS in July 2007 and my priority date for is April 2006 (EB-2).
I would appreciate it if somebody can please shed some light on what this means for us. What are the implications for us.? Will the case be transferred to the local office.? Should i start to gather documents for a interview.
Would appreciate any advice i can get. Thank you!

I got EAD on 5th Oct.
I had fingerpring done on OCT12.
Whne Fingerprinting was done, with 2 of my fingers, it gave message
Warning !!!!!!!! Matched (with RED color) . Rest all fingers, it displayed passed with Green color.
Does it mean it matches with some kind of FBI database and Do I need to worry about it?
Please help gurus. I have lost my sleep.
