I would say that it is a toss up at this point whether the new Mini will get either the HD 2000 or HD 3000 graphics. I would hope for the better, but Apple has upgraded CPUs and opted for less powerful GPUs in the past.
I guess that it depends on the price point that they can get. At this point in time, it really is anyones guess outside of the citadel of Cuppertino. If I were in the market for a Mini this would be a hard choice as the current 320Ms are very good for their class of GPU.

I came to the same conclusion as Stella after reading both of those linked to stories. These sound just like bookmarklets, except you don't have to manually type in the javascript string. What am I missing? And don't tell me to google it -- I already tried.
Technically, modules are somehow similar to bookmarklets, but with more features and more flexibility. This means the modules are written in JavaScript code and they can do everything that can be done with JavaScript. Unlike bookmarklets, where the complete JavaScript code must be squeezed in one single line so that it can be used as a URL with “javascript” scheme, the modules can be nicely formatted, without any line limitation. Modules have a special header section where the module properties are defined. The properties include an icon that is displayed in the Modules panel of iCab Mobile, but also settings which do allow the user to configure the module in the iCab Mobile module settings panel.
That's from iCAB's website. Yes, technically it's third party code, but so is the javascript on any website. I don't really see the distinction. If malicious javascript can do damage through the modules then I don't see why it couldn't do it through the browser as well.

I don't know what I'll do--wait for the video stream, or watch the text feed feed. I do miss the days of the live stream, when you were forced to let the suspense mount in real-time. But trying to recreate that suspense during the dry iTunes-market-share-pie-chart extravaganza just may force me to hit the FF button. And muck it up somehow.
Besides, it's not the same when it's live, and you know you are finding out at the same time as everybody else.

For future protection, I'd also recommend you uncheck the "Open Safe Files After Downloading" check box on Safari preferences: This will stop these drive by downloads automatically opening on you

You have that right. This fast post and free to registered app developers is a big consolation prize not making it to the conference. There were a lot of "parasite parties" around WWDC in San Francisco this week full of people that didn't make it into the conference. Some where public, some were invitation only and some were in between.

I have a late 2009? 13" unibody MBP with a 500GB disk.
I work in science with analysis of large data sets so I need a lot of storage to keep all my data. However, I would love to have a relatively small SSD to run all my software and the data I am immediately working on. Please don't get mad, I've tried to look up other optibay threads but they dont' really touch on these issues or they are outdated.
1- Is it worth doing an SSD optibay upgrade? I figure it will cost me around 350 bucks, which is a almost a 3rd of an Air. Thoughts?
2-Which SSD should I get? its been a while since i've followed computer hardware. I want best speed possible without going into top tier pricing. Ideally I'd like to spend less than 300 on the SSD. I need enough room to put the OS and several programs and maybe 50 gigs of data. How big should it be? which one should I get.
3- How do I handle the installation? I'm not sure how to direct the OS to only put files on the SSD? Also how to I make programs put files only in the SSD.
I do know how to put media on the HDD. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the best strategy would be to put most important files in the SSD so as to leave the spinning disk inactive as much as possible.
4-Anything else I should know?

I like giving away free information based on my experiences. I wish more people did it so I wouldn't have to buy laptop parts from bad suppliers.
I know people like t fix things themselves. What I would like to do here is have a list of good suppliers for certain parts where the end user can buy parts for their Macbook one at a time, and a list of ones to avoid, with the reasons why. My experiences will be devoid of bias, personal remarks, and stick to places where I have had the unfortunate experience of doing repeat business.
I will update this list over time, and I encourage others to chime in. there are many suppliers I have used not listed here since I don't have all the names and information ready off hand.
I am only listing suppliers of use to people looking to buy one part, not places that specialize in quantities of 50+, as that is useless to joe-blow looking to fix his out of warranty laptop.

They have occasionally sent out the incorrect screen, when they did, they paid for return shipping. They offer amazing prices, and a great RMA process

- bars down the left side of the LCD
- poor fit
- washed out colors
I have, and others have, been roped into buying from them on numerous occasion. I am hoping someone I heard from recently who went through the experience I did will chime in here. Their parts are trash. They are notorious for the 15.4" LED LCDs that go for $177.
It is fine to sell alternative compatible models, but they truly stretch the definition of compatible. screencountry does this with a few LCDs, but they ship out ones where there is no visible difference, of established brand names and well known models.

Imagine you buy part A. The eBay ad claims 13 available and a day later you'll receive an email with "GREAT NEWS!" claiming he's totally out of them, but that he can upgrade you to part B. What is blank screen mode? I don't run mine in screensaver mode, I turn it on and set my computer to stay on and just shut off my monitor.

What size is that, it looks like 15"? Also can you get anything else in there or just the Mac?
This is the 13inch one, but i have also made them for the 15" and 17" macbooks.
Funny thing is that most of my customers use it as a regular briefcase/suitcase, I also made them in custom sizes.

In my experience, they show you a video about how great it is to work in retail and then make you do some dumb role playing exercises and then you go home and never hear from them again.
